Mont Chiran Observatory

TheMont Chiran Observatory, located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence département, offers a unique astronomical observation experience. Perched at an altitude of 1,905 metres, this observatory enjoys a privileged location in the heart of nature, offering ideal conditions for observing the night sky.

At the summit of Mont-Chiran, you’ll discover an exceptional 360-degree panorama, with views over the Alpine arc, from the Mercantour to the Écrins, as well as a fine overview of the Mediterranean, from the Bay of Fréjus to the Pyrenees.
