Moustiers beer or mouss’terrienne was born in Provence in the 1990s.
In 1925, our first winegrowers, led by Auguste Bastide, founded the “Coopérative vinicole et agricole des Coteaux de Pierrevert” to pool their production resources and effectively market their wines.
Since the 1980s, the department’s cooperative wineries have gradually merged. The most recent mergers took place in 1992 and 1998, when the Manosque, Villeneuve and Quinson cooperatives joined forces with the Pierrevert cooperative.
Today, the cooperative is the only existing entity in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department, and the only major winegrowing unit operating in the Pierrevert Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) area.
Pierrevert PDO wines, from exceptional terroirs in the Verdon, celebrate the art of Provencal viticulture. Rosé Day is the perfect opportunity to discover these refreshing, elegant wines, true ambassadors of the Mediterranean art of living. With their fruity aromas and palette of delicate flavors, AOP Pierrevert wines are the perfect companions for celebrating summer and sharing convivial moments with friends.
