Water rambling

A rejuvenating descent

Water rambling is an outdoor activity that combines hiking with water sections. It lets you tame the Verdon without using ropes: swimming, walking, slides and small jumps follow one another. This activity is ideal for people who like to explore nature in an immersive yet active way.

Embark

For aquatic hiking

Aquatic hiking is all about the peaceful exploration of natural aquatic landscapes. Take this opportunity to reconnect with the simple things the Verdon has to offer and enjoy the beauty of the aquatic environment.

Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, aquatic hiking is for you. It’s generally a gentle activity of low to moderate difficulty. It doesn’t require advanced climbing or abseiling skills. You progress in the welcoming waters of the Verdon in a lying position.

Our aquatic guides will show you the nooks and crannies of the river and remind you of its history. Before you start, you’ll be equipped with special shoes for better grip on wet surfaces, and a neoprene wetsuit for protection against the cold of the water.

Pay attention, reconnect with nature and fill up on energy and fresh air!

What is it?

Aqua & canyoning

The gentle aquatic hike lets you feel the currents, force and speed of whitewater.

Canyoning also involves descending the river, but in a more committed and vertical manner. You’ll progress by jumping, sliding, abseiling and swimming. You’ll be exposed to the void, and exposure to heights can give you dizzying sensations.

Ultimately, the main difference between aquatic hiking and canyoning lies in the level of adrenalin, technicality and skill required. Water hiking is a more leisurely activity, focused on the peaceful exploration of the natural beauty of aquatic environments, while canyoning is a more adventurous and technical activity, with abseiling and other physical challenges. The choice between the two will depend on your preferences and level of experience in outdoor aquatic activities.
